Top Management Night is a traditional program in which
APICS recognizes and supports their dedicated members and management
teams. Part of the theme for this
year’s program will focus on offering a “train-the-trainer” event on
supply chain management. As
organizations struggle to compete in this global marketplace, many often
cut this level of training.
However simple things can be done to elevate the knowledge needed
in your organization to continue to improve performance. This program will give attendees some
pragmatic tools and real-world ideas that can be applied at the tactical
level within their own organizations to help them be more competitive.

Since the APICS
Florida Gulf Coast Chapter will be offering lean enterprise courses, I
would like to take the opportunity to share my experience and the
benefits that I have received from taking lean courses. My former company, Nordson Corporation,
realized that in order to remain a leader in their industry and to stay
competitive they needed to embrace Lean Manufacturing and Lean
Thinking. This was a huge step
forward for the organization and one that would require investing a lot
of time in educating everyone in the organization and changing the
culture.

Lean Manufacturing
Plans have been finalized for the
presentation of the Lean Enterprise Workshop. The workshop will be held Saturdays,
April 10, 17, and 24, 2010 at Rosedale Golf and Country Club in
Bradenton. from 8 AM to 5 PM, Cost is $650 for Members, $750 for
Non-Members. We are offering a $50
discount per person for 3+ company attendees. If you’re interested,
